Cotton Ball

So last night as I was putting Daniel to bed, Daniel asked me his normal bedtime question "Mommy will you come sit by me?"
Which means he wants me to lay by him as he goes to sleep. A lot of the time I will but every now and again I tell him that he has to go to bed on his own. Well last night when Daniel asked, Shaun gave me "the look" which means he wanted to hang out with me and when I go lay by Daniel I ALWAYS fall asleep in there and Shaun has to come in and fish me out.
So when I got "the look" from Shaun last night on one side of me, and "the look" from Daniel on the other side of me, I hesitated a little, but figuring that Shaun was an adult , he could live without me for a few minutes.
I told Daniel I would be right in, Shaun then shook his head and started to laugh a little, "What?" I said, giving him a "look" of my own.
" You have the will power of a cotton ball" Shaun stated.
"A cotton ball?" I asked, "why a cotton ball? "
Shaun then replied "Have you ever seen a cotton ball fight back?"
I had no reply
"Exactly" he said

It still makes me laugh just thinking about it, I love that man.
