California Adventures

This last week from May 4th to the 8th we all took a trip to California with my mom and dad, Jaci and Tanner, grandma McMahon and Silvi. Grandma and Silvi rode down with us and what a long ride that is. It's about 7 hours or so of driving to get there and you feel each and every hour. I've decided that someday I'm going to work for an airline company that way I can get free/discounted plane tickets. The resort we stayed at was so nice, Shaun and I own a timeshare with WorldMark by Wyndam and we love it! It's the best investment we have ever made because it makes us take vacations and trips together and no matter where we want to go we have a very nice resort to stay at.
Thursday morning we packed our backpacks and headed to the most magical place on earth. I will say that I do really like Disneyland that it is a fun place, but, it is stressful at the same time. Daniel is a good kid and he listen pretty good for all the excitement going on, but if you ever go to Disneyland just pay attention to the people around you. Not many people are really that happy to be there! Parents are getting after there kids cause their kids are trying to run away to the rides they want to ride or crying because they have been waiting in the same line for over an hour, or are throwing tantrums because they want the giant stuffed Mickey Mouse that costs the same amount as a small car, or parents are getting after their kids for being scared to go on some of the rides cause the parents just forked over a whole months pay for them to ride these rides. If you really stop and pay attention there are a lot of UNHAPPY people in the most magical place on earth. Now like I said, I do enjoy Disneyland and we did have a great time, but after all of that very expense fun we'll probably be giving Disneyland a break for a few years or so.
The rest of the trip we spend hanging out at the beach. Our resort was only a very short walk from a very wonderful beach. The sand was perfect sand, it even sparkled, and the waves and shore was awesome. I can truthfully say that we all had a much better time hanging out at the beach then anything else we did this trip. I think Shaun and I will be heading back hopefully sometime soon just to go and hang out at the beach for a few days. Daniel loved the water, the waves and the sand. He was having so much fun building sandcastles with Papa, and boogie boarding with aunt Jaci, and he is actually really good a boogie boarding!
All and all in was a really great trip and the weather was so wonderful, it could have been warmer the day at the beach but we all toughed it out and had a really great time. It was so much fun hanging out with my family and the only thing I'm sad about is that we came home and since we've been home it's been cloudy, storming and cold! Talk about a welcome home.
