No Training Wheels

We have taken the training wheels of Daniel's bike!  A couple of weeks ago we were at a friends house and their little girl Ari had the training wheels off her bike and was riding around on it really well.  Daniel was watching her and so after a little bit we stuck him on her bike with a helmet to see how he would do.  Well he took off and was riding just fine, but he couldn't figure out the brakes and so after a few seconds of me chasing him telling him to pedal backwards to stop he finally just turned the wheel and crashed.  He felt like he was done but we had him get on it one more time and showed him how to use the brakes and how to stop, just so he wouldn't be too scared to try again.  So after we got home we took Daniel's training wheels off and let him try on his own bike.  We have had a few ups and downs with it but since I've decided to stop pressuring him, yes, I became a crazy mom for a little bit, he's been doing great all on his own and doing it all by himself.  He is super excited to be such a big boy riding his bike without training wheels and he's so excited to show everyone he knows.  We are so proud of what a big boy Daniel is becoming!
