We had such a fun Halloween this year. We just got back from hanging out with our friends the Colliers and trick or treating with their kids. This year Daniel got to be Spider-Man and he thought he was pretty awesome, even though he didn't wear his mask. He didn't like his mask so much, he couldn't see very well in it so he just decided not to wear it. So I know now for next year that we need to find him a costume without a mask. Daniel went trick or treating with his friend Ari and her sisters, Kayla and Kenna this year, and it was a lot of running as fast as you can to the next house, ringing doorbells at least 3 times and knocking at the same time. We had to keep reminding the kids to just slow down and take their time, the candy would still be there waiting for them either way. After a few streets we lucked out and the kids decided they were all done for the night, so we headed back to Casey and Tori's place where Casey and Shaun had stayed and made a little haunted garage for trick or treaters to come in and get their candy. It was pretty cool, Casey had covered the whole front of his garage with black sheets and inside had a fog machine, strobe lights and spooky music going while they sat in a corner with creepy masks on to scare people off. The boys really enjoyed themselves. Afterwards the kids all dumped out their candy and just sat there eating it and watching Halloween cartoons. It was a pretty fun night, I realized that Daniel gets some of his control freak-ness from me as I kept telling him over and over again how to say trick or treat and make sure to say thank you and don't ring the door bell over and over again and to stop knocking over and over again and to stop trying to be the boss of the other kids and so on and so forth. It's funny what you learn about yourself from your kids.

You're so funny, Jes! I'm glad you guys had a fun Halloween; we did, too!
How is it that we missed the spooky garage!? Cute kids! You should have a better picture showing off your costume as well!
